چکیده
Objective: To determine an association of single nucleotide polymorphism the NRF2 gene (RS6721961) with semen parameters primary male infertility patients in Pakistani population.
 Study Design: Comparative cross-sectional study.
Place and Duration Study: Department Biochemistry, Islamic International Medical College, Rawalpindi, collaboration two private clinics (American Infertility Center, Rawalpindi Mother Child Hospital Research Institute, Mirpur, AJK) from Oct 2020 to Sep 2021.
Methodology: A total 288 participants were included this study. There 144 diagnosed cases healthy fertile males, age ethnicity matched controls. Blood samples collected after obtaining written informed consent. DNA was extracted by Chelex TM Methodoogy. Multiplex PCR done respective allelic frequencies genotypes using specific primers.
Results: no significant between volume semn colour infertile males (p-value 0.32 0.84, respectively). Out cases, 111 (77%) had normal sperm count, 29 (20.1%) oligospermia, while 4 (2.7%) azoospermia. observed concentration <0.001). 80 (55.5%) motility, 57 (39.5%) asthenospermia 7 (8.4%) necrospermia. strong motility <0.001).
Conclusion: Single is significantly associated and......

Background The tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) gene is a cytokine involved in systemic inflammation. Results of the association of its polymorphisms with infertility in men are controversial. Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of -308G/A polymorphism in TNF-α gene with different parameters of semen and sperm in infertile men. Methods Participants were 210 me...

The present study determined an association between idiopathic sperm disorders in a local Pakistani infertile male population and the MTHFR C677T polymorphism. After ruling out non genetic factors, a total of 437 idiopathic infertile men including 57 azoospermic, 66 oligospermic, 44 asthenozoospermic, 29 teratozoospermic, 20 oligoasthenospermic and 221 infertile normospermic men were recruited....
